Blues is extremely versatile and popular. The basic foundation of the blues can be learned fairly quickly. Once you grasp a particular concept (chord progression or scale) you can move it to another key and it will make sense!
Blues lessons include:
- 12 bar blues shuffle (ie. 1, 4, 5 progression)
- Minor pentatonic scales
- Major pentatonic scales
- Blues scale
- Bends, vibrato, hammer ons, pull offs
I tend to focus on a "less is more approach" which is suitable for beginners or even intermediate players. See video for an example.
